Two species of Rafflesia, R.hasseltii and R.cantleyi, and intermediate species can be found here. These flowers takes 9 months to grow from a bud to it's full bloom, and it only lasts 3 days before it withers. Inform us a couple of weeks in advance and we'll send our scouts out to find one that is nearest to blooming.
The crystal clear lake water is so clean and odourless that swimming in it is like taking a refreshing bath.
Temenggor Lake is an angler's paradise where catches of 4-5 KG is commonplace. There are 13 species of fish in this lake in abundance.

Every September to November, thousands of Hornbills will come to this place. All ten hornbill species of Malaysia can be found here, including the globally threatened Plain-pouched Hornbill, present in large flocks of thousands of birds, a phenomenon not known to occur anywhere else in the world. Bring your binoculars and feast your eyes.
